Salt Palace Food Show Rescue

We've got an incredible opportunity to make a real impact on our community and the environment.  On February 8, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, we're on a mission to rescue over 50,000 pounds of organic specialty products from 700+ booths at the end of a show. The event will be hosted by KeHE, a national distributor for grocery stores, supermarkets, and online vendors. They focus on organic/natural, fresh & specialty products. 

Imagine this: 700+ booths, 50,000 pounds of food, and 50 volunteers ensuring it reaches those in need instead of going to waste! Let's work together to load it onto 4-5 semi trucks waiting at the loading docks, generously provided by our nonprofit agency partners.Here's the magic: this rescued food will provide meals for 40,000 people! Not only that, but we'll also be preventing a whopping 60 tons of CO2 equivalent from entering the environment. That's like taking 13 cars off the road for an entire year!
