At WasteLess Solutions, we believe in the power of community to create a sustainable future. We are incredibly grateful for our network of food donors: restaurants, caterers, grocers, distributors, and other food providers, whose generosity is vital to feeding Utahns struggling with food insecurity. When you partner with us, you're not just donating food; you're actively preventing surplus from going to landfills by using our convenient Food Rescue app, ensuring it reaches those who need it most.
By joining WasteLess Solutions, your organization becomes a crucial part of the solution to Utah's significant food waste problem. Annually, Utah wastes approximately 600,000 tons of food, while 400,000 individuals face food insecurity. This waste also has a severe environmental impact: uneaten food consumes 16% of all U.S. fresh water use and 16% of U.S. cropland, contributing to 4% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions (ReFed 2025). Food rotting in landfills also releases methane gas, which is up to 80 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Partner with us and become a leader in sustainable practices, showcasing your commitment to a healthier Utah.
