Sudhir has been an advocate for animal protection since 1974. He served as president of the Humane Society of Utah, Wasatch Humane, The Animals Voice, and Psychologists for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Whilst living in Mexico for several years, he co-founded Amigos de Animales. He has provided pro bono consultancy to several animal protection organizations. The scope of work entailed a deep dive into varied facets including strategic planning, development, program efficiency, and governance. He has served as Treasurer and President of the Utah AIDS Foundation. He currently serves as the sustainability advisor to The Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations.
He is the founder and CEO of Amembal & Associates, the world's most highly-respected training and consulting firm in the field of equipment finance, a $2 trillion industry. His firm has trained more than 80,000 equipment financial professionals throughout the world. He has authored 18 books on the subject. He chaired each of the annual World Leasing Conventions from 1993 until its discontinuance in 2013. In 2016, he was inducted into the Equipment Finance Hall of Fame. Prior to founding Amembal & Associates, Sudhir worked for Ernst & Young in New York City, after which he was on the accounting faculty at the University of Utah. He has a B. Com from the University of Bombay, an MBA from the University of Utah, and is qualified to practice as a CPA.
