From a young age, Alissa was drawn to environmental and animal welfare causes. Over time, those interests expanded to include social justice, food access, and community engagement. Alissa’s career path has taken her from mountain towns and outdoor adventures to operations and relationship management. After years working with global brands in the outdoor industry, she is excited to combine her professional experience with passion for reducing food waste and supporting local communities.
Alissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Originally from Colorado, Alissa has called Salt Lake City home for the last 15 years where she has been a volunteer with Wasteless Solutions since 2019. Alissa can be found in community gardens or food forests, volunteering with animal welfare organizations, spoiling her senior rescue dogs, or planning the next river trip.
