Food Rescue Operations Director
Kathryn Buntain (she/her) is a program and operations leader with over a decade of experience driving impact across nonprofit, corporate, and small business environments. She is deeply motivated by work that expands equitable access to opportunities and resources, strengthens communities, and advances sustainability and climate action.
Most recently, Kathryn served as Director of Programs and Operations at a diversity, equity, and inclusion training and consulting organization that provides inclusive leadership resources to organizations worldwide. Her career has taken her from developing and coordinating large-scale community events and corporate conferences, to managing nonprofit programs, to spearheading sustainable technology initiatives. She thrives on operationalizing projects and initiatives from their earliest idea stage all the way through to successful delivery.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys recreating across Utah’s landscapes and is usually plotting her next adventure - she's passionate about expanding her perspective by exploring new cultures and landscapes. She volunteers her time with a range of organizations to protect the environment and uplift our communities. Kathryn is a proud resident of Salt Lake City’s historic Ballpark neighborhood where she lives with her husband and their cats.
