Community Engagement Manager
Laila Hakkarinen is a dedicated advocate for sustainability, environmental justice, and building resilient communities. With a degree in Environmental & Sustainability Studies and Sociology from the University of Utah, Laila is passionate about connecting people with the planet and empowering communities to become resilient to climate change. At WasteLess, her work focuses on reducing food waste, improving food access, and minimizing the environmental impact of food sources to build a more equitable food system.
She loves skiing, hiking, quality time with her friends and family, and believes that everyone deserves equitable access to nature and a healthy environment.
